Librarians on the Loose!

Puppets!Did you know that sometimes our librarians escape from the library? They do!

You can find our Librarians on the Loose visiting schools and community events. Tonight, September 13th, you might see Teen Librarian Elzena and Children’s Programmer Robin out in downtown Staunton with the teen puppet troupe. They’ll be putting on shows as part of Staunton’s Friday Night Vibe series. Not only will they have puppets, but you can sign up for a library card, get a button to show your library love, or just chat books with them!

Next week, families that are attending the Wilson Elementary School PTA meeting will get a chance to visit with Robin and Ann, who will be doing a puppet show called “Whoooo’s at the Library?” and talking about fun family literacy opportunities.

We love it when we can get out of the library and out into the community. If your school or community event would like our Librarians on the Loose to visit you, please see our School Visits page.
