Peggy Vreuls has been teaching knitting and crocheting at the Augusta County Library for over eleven years. The group meets on Thursday evening from 6-7:30 and consists of all ages and all skill levels.
When Peggy was in high school, a neighbor taught her to knit a pair of argyle socks and she has been knitting and crocheting ever since. She is also part of a charity knitting group that provides small blankets for preschoolers, lap robes for veterans and hats and scarves for the homeless. She also knits bird’s nests for the local Wildlife Center.
Peggy has one daughter in Virginia, a son in San Antonio and another son in Japan, as well as seven grandchildren. Peggy says she really enjoys volunteering at the library and having fun with the people in the Knit 2gether group each week.
