Requesting Items by Placing a Hold
Did you know that you can request items from any Valley Library Connection location to be sent to the local library of your choice?
To place a hold, call or visit your local library. For your convenience, you may also place holds using the online catalog 24 hours a day. Simply log in with your library card number and your personal identification number (PIN). If you don’t have a PIN set up, you can request one the next time you visit your library in person.
There is a limit of 15 holds per card. You may choose to receive automated email*, phone, or text notifications of arrived holds. Holds not picked up within one week of notification will be canceled.

*For email notifications, please be sure to add firstname.lastname@example.org to your email provider’s allowable list to ensure that you receive the messages.
