INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

            The Augusta County Library will be closed when Augusta County offices are closed. 

             If weather or emergency conditions develop on Saturdays or after 5:00 p.m. weekdays, the library director or other authorized personnel, in consultation with the County Administrator, will have the authority to close the library. The Augusta County Emergency Operation Center (EOC) 245-5501,   selected local radio and television stations will be notified of any unscheduled closings and will be added to the library’s website and telephone answering system.

             If Augusta County Schools are closed due to inclement weather, storytimes and library programs will be cancelled. Cancelled programs will not be rescheduled.   If Augusta County Schools are closed for an extended period of time, some programs may be held if driving conditions for a majority of county residents are safe.  This decision will be made by the Library Director and will be posted on the library website's front page.
