Public Computers

WiFi is offered at the Main Library in Fishersville, the Churchville branch, and Craigsville, Deerfield and Middlebrook stations. The main library offers public Internet stations with word processing capabilities in the main lobby, YA, and Junior areas. An Internet Express station and AWE Early Literacy computers are also available. Filtering software is installed on all public access stations.

Computer Use: Patrons will need their library card or a guest pass to sign-in to the Cassie scheduling system to use any of the public Internet stations. Patrons do not need to sign-up to use the Internet Express station, or the AWE computers.
Time limits: Forty-five minutes for the Internet stations (three hours per day maximum). Ten minutes for the Internet Express station. Thirty minutes for the AWE computers.
Downloading: Patrons are welcome to use their own USB flash drives for downloads. Patrons are not allowed to save files or download files onto the hard drives. Only library-owned software may be used on public stations.
Headphones: The library does not supply headphones to patrons--patrons may use their own.
Printing: Black and white and color printing. Printing costs are 15 cents per black and white page, 25 cents pe color page. Wireless printing is available, but please ask at the reference desk for help.
Software: We have Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel on our Adult Internet Stations.
