There’s always something going on at Augusta County Library. Be sure to take a look at these events that we’ve planned with teens and tweens grades 6 to 12 in mind.

Ongoing Teen & Tween Programs at the Fishersville Library

Teen Advisory Board –  The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a group of teens grades 6 to 12 who are interested in becoming more involved with their library. TAB meets to advise on what items to order for the Young Adult (YA) collection, help create teen programs, and/or volunteer at various library events. TAB meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 5:00 pm. Come check it out!

Warhammer 40K –  4th Saturday of every month @ 2:00 pm. Develop your strategy for planetary siege and combat in a dystopian science-fantasy universe. For grades 6 and up. All skill levels welcome!

Food, Books & Games—Oh My!
1-2:30 p.m., Saturday, October 17 • Fishersville
Teens grades 6 to 12 are invited to bring books to swap and enjoy games, food and giveaways.

What Happens After High School
5:30 p.m., Thursday, November 12 • FishersvilleWelcome to the Future graphic
A panel representing various occupations will answer questions and share personal experiences to help teens prepare for college or future careers. There will be a door prizes and refreshments. Advance registration encouraged.

Gingerbread Person Workshop
11:30 a.m., Saturday, December 12 • Fishersville
Decorate a gingerbread man or woman as your favorite book characters. To eat or not to eat? That is the question. For grades 6 to 12. Advance registration required.
