July 2014: Carol Turrentine

Carol Turrentine has been actively involved in the Augusta County Library since 2002 when she moved to Middlebrook from New York City.  She is a professional photographer and does weddings and other special events in Augusta and nearby counties.  She and her partner, Jonathon, own a farm near Middlebrook where they grow flowers and vegetables and care for rescue animals.  Carol is a master gardener who cooks and cans her own produce.  She also bakes many varieties of delicious bread to share and sell.   Carol was instrumental in the establishment of the Middlebrook Library Station in 2008.  She still volunteers there on a regular basis and coordinates the volunteers who run the station once a week. For two years Carol was President of the Friends of the Augusta County Library and planned many events and programs to benefit the library.  Thank you, Carol, for being such a wonderful advocate for the Augusta County Library and for the endless hours of service you have given and continue to give!
