ACL has partnered with the Virginia Department of Health to distribute free rapid at-home COVID test kits, available at all ACL Locations (while supplies last).
No library card is required. Curbside pick-up only—please call ahead to your home library location to reserve up to four tests per household.
Do not come to the library if you are sick and need a test; please send a family member or friend to pick up the test on your behalf.

What equipment is needed to take the rapid antigen test?
The test kit contains all the materials needed to take the test.
How do you take the test?
Follow the written instructions on the manufacturer’s product insert.
How soon after taking the rapid antigen test are results available?
Results are available approximately 15 minutes after completion of the test. Please follow the test manufacturer’s instructions for results timing and interpretation.
What happens if I get a positive result from the rapid antigen at-home test?
Individuals who test positive should isolate and follow up with their healthcare provider or their local health department (https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/local-health-districts/).
