Augusta County Library has two exciting updates to share: expanded hours at Stuarts Draft Library and the start of playground construction at Fishersville Library.
Mondays Just Got Better at Stuarts Draft Library
Beginning Monday, October 5, 2026, Stuarts Draft Library will be open on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. These additional hours give residents more time to browse, borrow, and use the library’s resources.
Whether you’re picking up a hold, finding your next great read, or stopping in after school or work, there’s a new reason to look forward to Mondays. Start your week at the library!
A New Playground Is Taking Shape in Fishersville
Work has begun on the new Fishersville Library playground! The Augusta County facilities team has removed the old equipment and secured the retaining wall, preparing the site for the next phase of construction.
The library thanks The Hershey Company for its generous support; Augusta County Supervisors Carolyn Bragg, Dr. Scott Seaton, and Steve Grepps for their infrastructure support; and the Friends of Augusta County Library Foundation for helping make this project possible.
Keep an eye out for construction updates and details about a ribbon-cutting celebration when the new playground is ready. We look forward to welcoming the community to a new place to play!
