Storytime & Puppet Shows

Storytime is a wonderful way to begin developing early literacy skills for babies and preschool children. These 20 to 30 minute-long sessions are full of songs, dancing, rhymes and stories–all following a curriculum designed to increase your child’s vocabulary and to help prepare them for kindergarten. Storytime will also help your child develop a love of reading and the library.

Interested in having our Storytellers bring a puppet show or storytime to your school or organization? See our School Visits page.

Program descriptions follow. For event dates and times, check out our full Calendar of Events. If storytime is canceled due to inclement weather, we will update the calendar.

  1. My Great-Grands are going to be visiting the whole week of Thanksgiving. They are aged 15 months (boy), 4 (girl) and 6 (boy) Will there be any activities during that week that they will be able to participate in. I would be staying with them.

    Thank you,
    Nancy Facemire

    1. Ms. Facemire, we have one program the week of Thanksgiving, and that’s the Little Elves Preparation Makerspace at our Churchville Branch for ages 5 and up. This program is on Monday, November 25 and starts at 4 PM. Our activities are limited that week since all of our locations are closed that Thursday and Friday. You can find a full list of our activities here: https://www.augustacountylibrary.org/classes-events/. Please let us know if you have any questions! -ACL Staff
