Summer Reading Adventure 2026
June 1st – August 1st

Get ready to grow your imagination with this year’s Summer Reading Adventure theme: Plant a Seed, Read! Focus on growth, exploration, and the joy of reading without the pressure of traditional tracking. 

Pick up your Summer Adventure journal at any Augusta County Library location beginning May 25th to participate! Journals are limited to one copy per patron and area available while supplies last. You can also click on the photos below to print your own copy

Age Categories:

Early Literacy

Ages 0 – 5

Children

Ages 6 – 12

Teen and Adult

Ages 13 +

Important Dates to Remember:

    • Journals available: Beginning May 25, 2026
              *There is no registration needed this year.
    • First day of Summer Reading Adventure: Jun 1st, 2026
    • Last day of Summer Reading Adventure: Aug 1st, 2026
    • Raffle drawing: Aug 8th, 2026

Prizes: 

Prizes will be raffle-based this year. Each completed page of the journal is equal to one entry into the grand prize drawings in each age category!

Grand Prize Categories: There are 5 prizes available for each of the following 4 age categories:

  • Early Literacy (Ages 0 – 6)
  • Children (Ages 7 – 12)
  • Teens (Ages 13 – 17)
  • Adults (18+)

Completion Prize: If a you complete your entire journal, you will  receive a free book to keep!
